The Bar Mitzvah Prep School

Raising the Bar in Bar Mitzvah Prep...

The Project

Rabbi Aryeh Weinstein, a community leader in greater Philidelphia and director of the Bar Mitzvah Prep School, is taking bar mitzvah preparation to a whole new level. He's tapping into the secular, unaffiliated Jewish market with a new online bar mitzvah course. The course objective is to provide bar mitzvah boys with a taste of Judaism that's both meaningful and relevant to their lives. The director was seeking to create an engaging, informational, and conversion-driven website that differentiates his course within the industry and conveys his unique approach. He also opted in for a comprehensive brand messaging guide (see below), and a video script for his home page.

What I Did

I began crafting The Bar Mitzvah Prep Schools website by researching and familiarizing myself with the target audience. Through interviews and various review websites, I looked at their interests, challenges, pain points, and took note of the language they were using in reference to preparing for their son’s bar mitzvah. I sculpted wireframes for each page of the website and wrote compelling, research-driven copy.

“She writes very well. I felt she was dedicated to the project, not just getting her work done.”

“What I enjoyed most about working with Malka was her generous spirit, talent with words, readiness to modify, and sensitivity to the project schedule. She put together a well-researched Brand Messaging Guide, giving me more clarity on my own project and helping focus the site copy. She writes very well. I felt she was dedicated to the project, not just getting her work done. Even after the copywriting segment of the project concluded, she has continued to help me with various odds and ends, and I am so appreciative of that dedication.”

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
